"Revolutionizing discoverability

in core video games"

Sorry for going silent!

Posted: 2nd May 2013 by Anthony

Hey everyone,

Sorry we haven’t updated the website in a while! We’ve been in heads-down development and have been making AWESOME progress on the game. We’re targeting the IndieCade deadline of June 30th as our finish date for our alpha version of our first game, and when the alpha is finished, we’ll be doing the following:

  • Formally announcing the game (!!!!)
  • Submitting to IndieCade
  • Making a Steam Greenlight page
  • Launching our Kickstarter campaign
  • Sending out Alpha builds to select playtesters (most likely you if you read this website)
  • Seeking completion funding from angel investors and/or publishers
  • Starting our weekly video blogs back up

That’s right, you’ll FINALLY be able to see what we’ve been doing this whole time! We’ve been incredibly busy, and while it hasn’t exactly been a smooth road, we’re very proud of where we are right now and where we’re going. Stay tuned for all of these incredibly pivotal moments in our game and our company’s lives.

One more thing: If you want more information and updates from us, we post more incremental updates on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Links are on the left sidebar, check them out and follow us!

Please welcome our new designer, Martin!

The Kermdinger family has lost a family member in Jon as he leaves to pursue his true passion — algorithms (?!?). We wish him well!

But, in the circle of life and the high turnover rate of the gaming industry, we have a new family member — Martin! Martin is our new game designer and will be working on both level and item design for us since the majority of the programming base is established. I will be carrying out the rest of the programming work, at least until we land some major funding and I can hire someone better than me!

Martin graduated a year ahead of the rest of us from the ETC and is a very talented designer. He worked on Ethereal with Ross back at the ETC and has been perusing the Bay Area on freelance gigs since graduation. We’re very lucky to have him aboard and know that he will have a very positive impact on Kermdinger.

Welcome aboard, Martin!

Kermdinger Studios is now a part of nestGSV!

Posted: 16th October 2012 by Anthony

Hey everyone!

Kermdinger Studios has graduated from Plug and Play Tech Center’s Startup Camp incubator and has moved on to a new and exciting program in Redwood City called nestGSV. We’re very happy to be starting there; they have close ties to several individuals and companies in the video game industry that should allow us to expand our network and make some very beneficial contacts. We’ll post pictures of our new digs (which includes a slide, beach volleyball and dangerously close Mexican restaurants) here in the next couple days, and some exciting updates concerning Kermdinger developments will be soon to follow!

Stay tuned.

Things are lookin’ sunny for the Kerms!
